Karen Cunningham, President and Co-Founder of the Oklahoma Financial Center, and is a Registered Representative and an Investment Advisor Representative with NFP Securities, Inc., with all related licenses.  Ms. Cunningham provides fee-based financial planning to professionals and closely held corporations. This includes, but is not limited to, individual financial plans, business plans, and ongoing business consulting billed on an hourly-rate basis.  Ms. Cunningham currently manages over $280 million of assets.

Ms. Cunningham has been providing fee-based financial planning since 1987 and general financial planning since 1980.  She is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma School Of Business.  During her career she has earned the designation of Chartered Financial Consultant, (ChFC).  Ms. Cunningham holds several licenses with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA – formerly the NASD):  Series 6 (Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Limited Representative), 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law Exam), 22 (Direct Participation Programs Limited Representative), 24 (General Securities Principal), and 7 (General Securities Representative).  She is also licensed in Oklahoma to provide Life, Accident & Health, and Variable Annuity insurance.  The accumulation of these licensures allows her to offer a full range of planning concepts to her clients.

The Oklahoma Financial Center was organized in the fall of 1987 as an expansion of the Trinity Financial Group, which was incorporated in 1986. The vision of the Co-Founders was to provide a larger range of services to the firm’s clients by providing full service pension and profit sharing administration, asset management/asset allocation*, and comprehensive fee-based planning for individuals and businesses.

During her career Ms. Cunningham has been featured in several publications:  The Daily Oklahoman newspaper, Kiplingers Personal Finance magazine, and The Wall Street Journal.  She is often a featured television guest of Linda Cavanaugh on KFOR, Channel 4 concerning Financial Planning, and is also a sponsored seminar speaker for the Oklahoma State Medical Association and the Oklahoma County Medical Society.

Active in her church, Lifechurch, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Ms. Cunningham served in the capacity of Finance CommitteeChairman for four years, and committee member for eight years.  She is currently serving as Board Chair of the Oklahoma Centennial Horse Show and has for the last six years, and is an active volunteer for Casady School.  She also serves as a Vice Chair of the Total Development Resource Campaign for the OKC Chamber of Commerce, and is a recent new member of the Oklahoma Economic Business Roundtable.  Ms. Cunningham is the mother of four children: Cris, Chad, Porter, and Katie.
